Features of Machinery Breakdown Insurance Policy

 

Electrical Damage: Provides indemnity for loss or damage resulting from Short circuiting, excess voltage & electrical arcing, faulty design, faulty material and faulty casting.

Technical Faults: Provides indemnity for loss or damage resulting from carelessness and lack of skill in the operation and maintenance of machinery, vibration, maladjustment.

Mechanical Damage: Defective lubrication, loosening of parts, Abnormal stress, fatigue, self heating and misalignment.

Requirements

  1. Completed Proposal form/Brokers Slip
  2. Details of the Plant(s)/Machines
  3. Completed Know your Policyholder form
  4. Copy of Certificate of Incorporation for Corporate clients
  5. Identification document for individual/sole proprietor client (any one of the below will suffice):
  • i. copy of Data Page of International Passport
  • ii. copy of National Identity card
  • iii. copy of National Driver’s License
  • iv. copy of Voter’s Card
  1. Policy/Endorsement document
  2. Confirmation of premium payment
