Engr. Sani Ndanusa

Engr. Sani Ndanusa Engr. Sani Ndanusa is a Civil Engineer from the Kaduna Polytechnic and a Master of Science in Water and Waste Water Engineering from Loughborough University, United Kingdom. An astute civil servant and sport administrator. A past Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and a complete gentleman.

He was the General Manager of the Niger State Water Board (1999-2001), and later became a Permanent Secretary of the Board. In 2007, he was appointed Niger State’s Commissioner for Works and Infrastructural Development, a position he occupied for about a year. In 2008, he was appointed by the then President Umaru Yar’Adua as the Minister of Youths, Sports and Social Development and Chairman, National Sports Commission a position he occupied for 2 years.

Also, in 1988, He served as the Vice Chairman Niger State Tennis Association for two years the chairman, Niger State Tennis Association between 1991 and 1994. His meritorious service led to his appointment as 1st Vice president of the Nigeria Tennis Federation in 1996 President respectively in 2001, a position he holds till date. He became the 3rd Vice President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee in 2003, Chairman Technical Committee in 2005 and the president of the Nigeria Olympic Committee from 2010 to 2014.

In acknowledgement of his stream of successful outings in the development of Sport in Nigeria, He was appointed the 1st Vice President, Confederation of African Tennis and President, Confederation of African Tennis Zone 2 (West Africa). He is a member, ITF wheelchair Tennis Commission since 2011 till date. Member, Common wealth Games Federation Sports Committee since 2014.

He is a member, Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Fellow Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), and Member, Nigeria Institute of Management.
